What happens to my soul when I accept Jesus?
Your soul is born of the Spirit of God and is joined to the Lord.
01THE SHORT ANSWER
Your soul is born of the Spirit of God and united with the Lord. God gives you life together with Christ; this is the new birth that Jesus said is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God.
02THE WORD
Here is what the Bible says about this question.
“Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
John 3:5-6
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.”
1 Corinthians 6:17
“But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),”
Ephesians 2:4-5
