I'M WAITING FOR THE RESULTS
And I'm afraid of what they might show.
ARE YOU WAITING FOR AN ANSWER ABOUT YOUR HEALTH?
You've had tests done.
You've had a checkup.
The doctor has told you to wait.
Maybe you've already received a result that worried you.
And now you have to wait to understand more.
And it is often during that waiting that your mind begins:
“What if it's something serious?”
“What if the results are bad?”
“What am I going to do?”
The answer hasn't arrived yet.
But fear already has.
What do you do now?
WHAT IF THE STORY DOESN'T END WITH THE RESULT YOU'RE AFRAID OF?
Someone else has been exactly here.
A medical result worried him.
He didn't know what the next test would show.
He had to wait.
His mind could easily have gone straight to the worst-case scenario.
But the story did not end there.
The next result was different.
So the question is:
What did he do while he waited?
HIS DAUGHTER WASN'T FEELING WELL
His daughter was eight years old.
She wasn't feeling well.
Blood tests were done.
Some of the results were outside the normal range.
The doctor asked for the tests to be repeated two days later.
Now he had to wait.
He did not know what the next tests would show.
What did he do during those two days?
HE PRAYED
He could not change the test results himself.
He could not know what the next test would show.
But there was something he could do.
He prayed.
He brought his daughter before God.
He asked God for everything to be well.
Then he waited.
And he continued to follow what the doctor had asked them to do.
Two days later, the tests were repeated.
THE RESULTS CHANGED
The tests were repeated.
And this time, according to his testimony:
the values were within the normal range.
Look at what happened:
There was a result that worried him.
He prayed.
He waited.
The tests were repeated.
And the result was different.
Now comes the question that matters to you:
Do we find people in the Bible who turned to JESUS when they were facing something they could not change by themselves?
A MAN COULD NOT SEE
The Bible tells us about a blind man.
He could not see.
He could not change his condition by himself.
When he heard that JESUS was passing by, he began calling for help.
People told him to be quiet.
But he kept calling.
Until JESUS stopped.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?”
JESUS asked him:
“What do you want me to do for you?”
The man did not give a long answer.
He clearly said what he needed:
“I want to see.”
JESUS healed him.
And he could see.
The problem was real.
The request was clear.
And something changed.
But maybe you're thinking:
“He had JESUS standing in front of him.
Today, all I have in front of me is the result I'm waiting for.”
TODAY THE PROBLEM MAY LOOK DIFFERENT
Today you may be waiting for a blood test.
An answer from your doctor.
A scan.
Another examination.
And you do not have JESUS physically standing in front of you as that man did in the Bible.
But the witness we just saw lived in our own time.
He had the test results in front of him.
He had the waiting.
He had the uncertainty.
And he did one thing:
he prayed.
Then the tests were repeated.
And according to his testimony, the result was different.
So the question becomes personal:
What do I do while I wait?
DON'T LET THE WAITING FILL UP ONLY WITH FEAR
When you don't know the answer yet, your mind may begin creating one for you.
“It will be bad.”
“It's probably something serious.”
“What is going to happen to me?”
But you don't know yet.
Fear is not the result.
So don't turn fear into the answer before the answer arrives.
Instead of letting your mind stay only on everything that might go wrong, do what the witness did:
Bring your need to God.
TELL GOD WHAT YOU'RE WAITING FOR
You do not need a complicated prayer.
Say it clearly.
You can say:
“FATHER, I'm waiting for this result.
This is worrying me.
I don't know what the result will show.
I'm bringing this need to You.
Please help me.”
You do not need many words.
Tell the FATHER the truth about what you are going through.
This does not mean that you stop going to the doctor.
It does not mean that you stop having tests.
It does not mean that you stop following recommended checkups or treatment.
It means that while you do what you need to do for your health, you do not have to spend the waiting time alone with your fear.
But why do we turn to the FATHER?
BECAUSE JESUS TAUGHT US TO TURN TO THE FATHER
JESUS did not teach us to remain alone with our fear.
He taught us to pray.
And when He taught us how to pray, He taught us to approach God as:
FATHER.
So when we pray, we are not speaking into emptiness.
We are bringing our request to the FATHER.
That is exactly what the witness did.
He had a problem he could not control by himself.
And he turned to God.
But now another question arises:
How can I have this relationship with the FATHER too?
THE WAY TO THE FATHER IS JESUS
JESUS said:
“I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the FATHER except through me.”
So we are not talking about a technique to use only when we are afraid of a medical result.
We are talking about a relationship with God.
And the Way to the FATHER is:
JESUS.
If you also want this relationship with your Creator, begin by coming to Him through JESUS.
YOU CAN BEGIN WITH A PRAYER
It is not the words of a formula that save you.
It is not about having perfect words.
What matters is that you are coming to JESUS with faith and sincerity.
And if this is what you truly desire, you can tell God simply, in your own words.
You can say:
FATHER,
I come to You just as I am.
I believe in JESUS.
I believe that He is the Way to You and my Savior.
Forgive me for my sins.
Today I receive JESUS as the Lord and Savior of my life.
Draw me close to You.
Teach me to know You and to walk with You.
I want to begin a new life with You.
In the name of JESUS. Amen.
NOW GO BACK TO THE RESULT YOU'RE WAITING FOR
Maybe the result hasn't arrived yet.
Maybe your next appointment is tomorrow.
Maybe it's a week from now.
Don't write the answer in your mind before it arrives.
Don't let fear convince you that you already know what is going to happen.
Do what you can do:
Go to your doctor.
Have the tests.
Attend your checkups.
Follow the medical guidance you've been given.
And while you wait:
pray.
Tell the FATHER clearly what you are asking for.
Tell Him what is frightening you too.
Then wait.
DON'T FACE IT ALONE
At the beginning, you had one question:
“What will the result show?”
Maybe you still don't know.
But now you also have another question:
“Who will I turn to while I wait?”
The witness had a result that worried him.
He prayed.
The tests were repeated.
And according to his testimony, the result was different.
The blind man asked JESUS for help.
JESUS heard him.
And he could see.
Today, you may still be waiting.
Don't go through that waiting alone.
Tell the FATHER what is troubling you.
Ask Him for what you need.
Trust Him.
Wait.
And keep doing what you need to do for your health.
Because if one day you see a result different from the one you're afraid of today...
it will no longer be only someone else's testimony.
IT WILL BE YOUR TESTIMONY.
